Terms of sale and use

Effective from November 1, 2026. This is the English version of the French terms (CGV), adapted to the US version of the Service; the French terms prevail in case of difference.

Recours is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. The Service provides general legal information and letter templates. Using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Laws vary by state and change over time: for an important or complex matter, consult a licensed attorney, a legal aid office or your state Attorney General's consumer protection office.

1. Purpose

These terms (the "Terms") govern the use of the Recours online service in English (the "Service") and the Recours Pro subscription. The Service is published by Mamadou Camara, individual entrepreneur (entrepreneur individuel) registered in France, reachable at recours.contact@gmail.com (the "Publisher"). Using the Service means accepting the Terms.

2. The Service

Recours helps you understand the rules that may apply to an everyday consumer or tenant dispute (flights, deliveries, defective products, security deposits, subscriptions, cancelling a purchase), work out the deadlines, and draft letters (demand letter, follow-up, credit card dispute letter) that you review, edit and send yourself. The data you enter stays in your browser; the Publisher has no access to it.

3. Not legal advice

4. Plans and prices

Prices are in US dollars and charged by Stripe; your bank may add currency conversion or foreign transaction fees. Any price change to an ongoing subscription is notified by email at least 30 days before it applies; you can cancel before that date.

5. Subscription and payment

You subscribe through the secure Stripe payment page, by card. By subscribing, you agree that the subscription renews automatically every month at the price shown until you cancel. A receipt is emailed after each payment. Pro access is activated on the device and browser used when subscribing; for another device, contact the Publisher.

6. Duration and cancellation

Monthly subscription, no commitment, renewing automatically. Cancel anytime, online, in a few clicks, from the subscription management page: https://billing.stripe.com/p/login/8x25kD4cH1ObbraaZ0gYU00, or by email to recours.contact@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro access until then and are not charged again.

7. Refunds

If you are not satisfied, write to recours.contact@gmail.com within 14 days of your first payment and you will be refunded. Nothing in these Terms limits any right to a refund or to cancel that the law where you live gives you.

8. Your obligations

9. Liability

The Service is provided "as is", with reasonable care but without any guarantee of result. To the extent permitted by law, the Publisher is not liable for the outcome of a dispute, for a missed deadline, for errors in the data entered, for the loss of data stored in your browser, or for interruptions due to maintenance, the host or events beyond its control. To the extent permitted by law, the Publisher's total liability is limited to the amounts you paid over the last 12 months. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, its code, its design and its brand remain the property of the Publisher. The letters you create are yours to use.

11. Personal data

See the legal notice.

12. Complaints and governing law

Contact the Publisher first at recours.contact@gmail.com; we aim to reply within 7 days. The Terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory rules of the place where they live.
