Terms of sale and use
Effective from November 1, 2026. This is the English version of the French terms (CGV), adapted to the US version of the Service; the French terms prevail in case of difference.
1. Purpose
These terms (the "Terms") govern the use of the Recours online service in English (the "Service") and the Recours Pro subscription. The Service is published by Mamadou Camara, individual entrepreneur (entrepreneur individuel) registered in France, reachable at recours.contact@gmail.com (the "Publisher"). Using the Service means accepting the Terms.
2. The Service
Recours helps you understand the rules that may apply to an everyday consumer or tenant dispute (flights, deliveries, defective products, security deposits, subscriptions, cancelling a purchase), work out the deadlines, and draft letters (demand letter, follow-up, credit card dispute letter) that you review, edit and send yourself. The data you enter stays in your browser; the Publisher has no access to it.
3. Not legal advice
- The information shown is general. It is based on federal rules, the Uniform Commercial Code, a small number of state laws and EU Regulation 261/2004, as understood on the date shown above. It may not reflect the law of your state, local rules, recent changes, or the specific facts of your case.
- The Publisher is not a lawyer and does not represent you. No result is guaranteed: the outcome depends on the facts, the evidence and the other party.
- You are responsible for checking the letters before sending them, for the accuracy of what you write, and for meeting the deadlines that apply to you. Deadlines shown are estimates based on what you entered.
- If your matter involves a large amount, personal injury, an eviction, a deadline about to expire or a court case already started, talk to a lawyer or a legal aid office.
4. Plans and prices
- Free plan: summary of your rights, all letters and tracking for 1 active case at a time.
- Pro plan: $9.99 per month. Unlimited cases and deadline reminders for your calendar.
Prices are in US dollars and charged by Stripe; your bank may add currency conversion or foreign transaction fees. Any price change to an ongoing subscription is notified by email at least 30 days before it applies; you can cancel before that date.
5. Subscription and payment
You subscribe through the secure Stripe payment page, by card. By subscribing, you agree that the subscription renews automatically every month at the price shown until you cancel. A receipt is emailed after each payment. Pro access is activated on the device and browser used when subscribing; for another device, contact the Publisher.
6. Duration and cancellation
Monthly subscription, no commitment, renewing automatically. Cancel anytime, online, in a few clicks, from the subscription management page: https://billing.stripe.com/p/login/8x25kD4cH1ObbraaZ0gYU00, or by email to recours.contact@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro access until then and are not charged again.
7. Refunds
If you are not satisfied, write to recours.contact@gmail.com within 14 days of your first payment and you will be refunded. Nothing in these Terms limits any right to a refund or to cancel that the law where you live gives you.
8. Your obligations
- Enter accurate information and send only letters whose content is true. Do not use the Service to harass, threaten or make false claims.
- Do not get around the Free plan limit or the Pro activation system.
9. Liability
The Service is provided "as is", with reasonable care but without any guarantee of result. To the extent permitted by law, the Publisher is not liable for the outcome of a dispute, for a missed deadline, for errors in the data entered, for the loss of data stored in your browser, or for interruptions due to maintenance, the host or events beyond its control. To the extent permitted by law, the Publisher's total liability is limited to the amounts you paid over the last 12 months. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, its code, its design and its brand remain the property of the Publisher. The letters you create are yours to use.
11. Personal data
See the legal notice.
12. Complaints and governing law
Contact the Publisher first at recours.contact@gmail.com; we aim to reply within 7 days. The Terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory rules of the place where they live.
